Well, ladies, laddies and germs, it's as feared, the state whose motto is "While I breath, I hope," (dum spiro spero), is temporarily hopeless. South Carolina went heavily for pig piling a discriminatory anti-same-sex-marriage amendment on its DOMA law.

Lackaday, the Palmetto State has mired its document of freedom with a stripping of liberty from a whole class of its citizens. The pro-marraige-equality forces were too nice and too quiet. The regressive ones mirror the middle of the nation's red states.
